Aberystwyth Marina

A notice board located inside the entrance door to the toilet and showers contains a wide variety of useful information from navigational warnings to taxi telephone numbers.  During the summer months weather forecasts are displayed on the exterior information board outside the office. A payphone kiosk is located about 60 metres outside the Marina next to the Pet shop. Incoming mail for berth holders may be collected from the office.

  • Diesel fuel is available from the Fuel pontoon but boat owners requiring petrol have to obtain it from a Filling station located about half a mile from the Marina.
  • Calor Gas and Camping gas are available from the Marina Office. The Marina also has a chandlery which is able to supply a wide range of items.
  • The marina has a Wifi facility; the access code can be obtained from the Office.
  • Trolleys are provided for the use of berth holders to carry materials from their cars to their boats; these are located at the foot of the access Bridge and should be returned there after use.
  • Rubbish bins, for domestic waste and recycling facilties for carboard, paper and plastics are located in a compound next to the Office block. 
  • The Marina provides free parking for all berth holders and for visiting boats.
  • Car owners are advised to make sure that all small items are secured in the boot of the vehicle when it is unattended. It should be noted that all cars and trailers are parked at their own risk.
  • There is a secure compound, off site, for the storage of trailers, which should be clearly marked with the boat or the owner’s name.
  • A Slipway is available for the launching and recovery of boats and the Marina has a Trailer Hoist capable of handling boats up to 40 feet in length with a beam of 13 feet and 10 tonnes in weight.
  • Aberystwyth Marina follows the guidelines, issued by the Yacht Harbour Association and the British Marine Industries Federation, which recommends that all marina users have a minimum third party insurance.
  • A copy of the rules and regulations is available from the office.
  • If an independent contractor is employed to carry out work on your boat, please advise the office before hand so we can ensure that all necessary procedures and insurance requirements are followed correctly.
  • Berth holders should satisfy themselves that they have taken all reasonable precautions against theft and damage.
  • Pets are allowed, but they should be exercised off the Marina. Please do not allow your pets to foul the Marina site and the surrounding area or to annoy other berth holders.
  • Please note that there is a speed limit within the harbour and the Marina. All vessels leaving or entering the harbour should not exceed the speed of 5 knots.
  • It is also advisable to check your stern wash.
  • There is a small local shop and Pub a couple of minutes walk from the Marina entrance and a laundrette, Co-op supermarket and other shops are within 7 to 10 minutes walk.
